Prison guard?  Must be brutal.   

So often in stress situations or in painful times, people don’t handle their own feelings because they’re not equipped to.  They just pass the pain on, preferably to a party incapable of returning the favor.

You’ve got a pretty good idea of how I feel about animal cruelty.  That’s a given.

Also a given, a lot of people have kicked the cat out of frustration.  It’s not cool, but it doesn’t necessarily make someone a dangerous sociopath.  If this kind of behavior escalates and we find tortured bunny bodies, that’s a profound warning sign that a person is dangerous not just to incredibly cute animals, but also to his own kind. 

Heaping abuse on abusers backfires.  It just escalates the problem.   Just because you feel bad for the innocent bunny doesn’t mean you can’t feel bad for the guy who maced her, too.

That’s the big challenge, if you ask me…
